1.5 lbs of 96/4 lean ground beef
¼ cup of diced onions
¼ cup of diced mushrooms
6 Lite Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns
6 tomato slices
6 leaves of lettuce
6 onion slices
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place onions and mushrooms on a baking sheet. Season with sea salt, pepper, and chili powder. Spray with olive oil spray, and mix until coated. Place in the oven for 15 minutes.
Measure out 96/4 lean ground beef into 4 oz patties. Place 1 tbs of onions and mushroom mixture in each patty, and fold until mixed, but don’t over mix. Patty these out into hamburger patties.
Preheat a grill, coat with olive oil, and cook patties until medium. At the same time, place onion slices on the grill, and cook until soft.
Assemble your hamburger using one bun, hamburger, lettuce leaf, onion slice, and tomato slice … if you want, you can use a tsp of olive oil based mayonnaise and/or low fat slice of cheese.
