Day before the Charleston Marathon

Well, today was the last training day before the Charleston Marathon.  I was supposed to run 3 miles at my marathon pace, but it was too cold outside.  So I ended up running faster … a lot faster.  My pace tomorrow is going to be around the 10:30 mark, and today I ran at 9:07 for my average pace.  Needless to say, I can’t run that tomorrow or else I will only make 3 miles.

Anyway, I went to the expo and picked up my packet for the race for tomorrow.  It’s a pretty nice shirt, and was worth the $20 for an extra one.  It’s also funny that I have such a low number since I am use to having higher numbers when I run.  I think my number is 923 …

I’m looking forward to tomorrow and I’m going to finish the whole 26.2 miles.  My mantra for tomorrow is:

Know that when it hurts, I’m not the only one hurting.
