Triathlon Training – Day 21

Well, today is Day 21 of my Triathlon training.  The training is going very well, and I am continuing to make progress.  Todays exercises consisted of swimming and running.

Swim (AM) – The morning swim session was 1500 meters.  The session consisted of 100 meters warm-up.  Then 100 meters using just the fins.  I then 200 meters of fins and paddles.  I then completed 200 meters of just the fins.  Then 200 meters of fins and working on my stroke (17 strokes for the length of the pool with no paddles).  Then 400 meters of fins and paddles with no rest … just 400 straight meters.  Then 100 meters with no fins or paddles.  Then finished off with 200 meters of cool down using find and paddles.

Run (PM) – 3 Mile Tempo Run.  The afternoon session consisted of a 3 mile tempo run with a pace of 8:25.  There was a 2 mile warm-up and a 2 mile cool down.
