Triathlon Training – Day 33 and 34

Yes, I’m playing catch-up again on my blog.  Sorry about that …

Sunday –

Run (AM) – 5 mile run.  Worked on maintaining my pace around 8:50.  I varied anywhere from 8:38 to 9:13.  Overall, did very well and managed to run the 5 miles in 44 minutes and 11 seconds.

Monday –

Swim (AM) – 1200 meters total swim.  Worked on kick and stroke.  Did 100 meter repeats with 15 seconds rest between sets. 

Bike (PM) – 18.5 miles.  Worked on indoor trainer and tried to keep cadence at 90 rpms.  Average was 84 so I still have a lot of work to do in that area.  Will continue to work on this area for the race.  Also, I will need to increase overall speed on the bike.
