Day 2 – Triathlon Training Program

Today is the second day of my updated Triathlon training program.  Today’s workout was swimming and TRX.  The swim felt great.  My knee is feeling pretty good, but it is a little stiff today.

The swim workout was as follows:

Warm-up: 300 easy swim easy

Main Set:

400 pull w/ buoy easy effort with focus on form. Rest 1 minute.

3 x 200 swim (Rest :20)

Cool-down: 150 easy swim, 50 kick easy, 50 easy swim.

The second part of my workout was my TRX routine.  I’m doing the Functional Strength Training, Strength Workout #2.  Here is the routine:

TRX Suspended Incline Press – 1 set, 10 reps

TRX Atomic Push-Up, – 1 set, 10 reps

TRX Single Leg Chest Press – 1 set, 6 reps each leg

TRX Back Row – 1 set, 15 reps

TRX Power Pull – 1 set, 10 each side

TRX Swimmer Pull – 1 set, 10 reps

TRX Y Deltoid Raise – 1 set, 8 reps

TRX T Deltoid Raise – 1 set, 8 reps

TRX Low Deltoid Raise – 1 set, 8 reps

TRX Standing Back Extension – 1 set, 12 reps

Planks – 2 sets, 30 sec
